Phenergan is a long - acting antihistamine which can be used to relieve symptoms of allergic disorders including: Hayfever Allergic Rhinitis Urticaria (hives) Eczema Dermatitis Allergic reactions to insect bites and stings For the prevention and treatment of travel sickness Relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold. Ingredients Promethazine Hydrochloride 25mg.Directions & Precautions This medication may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery. If you are pregnant or may become pregnant, check with your Doctor or Pharmacist before taking this medicine. This product should not be used in children under 2 years of age. Avoid Alcohol. This product contains sodium benzoate, sodium sulphite, and sodium metabisulfite. Also contains sorbitol and maltitol, 1.33g and 14.12g respectively, per maximum recommended daily dose. Products containing sorbitol or maltitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea. 12 years/Adult: 1-3 tablets at night 6 to 12 years: 1 table at the night. Not recommended for children less than 12 years except on medical advice. Dosage for 'PREVENTION' of Travel Sickness 12 Years/Adult only: 1 tablet the night before travel Dosage for 'TREATMENT' of Travel Sickness 12 Years/Adult only: 1 tablet daily Dosage for Nausea and Vomiting 12 Years/Adult only : 1 tablet 3-4 times a day.
